The Nude and Naked form is one of the oldest and most entrenched aspects in all of photography and art in general, and yet is the genre least attempted by most photographers.

This class is taught by a young talented fashion/art photographer from the USA, who has been working with international magazines like Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and Elle. He has been exhibited in Galleries in the USA, Spain, France, Japan, and China, and is now working on his first book “the Naked Spirit”. This introductory course has been designed to give beginners through experienced photographers an in depth knowledge of three wonderful and inexpensive lighting techniques to create amazing artistic nude photographs.

Attendees will be limited to 4-5 students and they will all have the opportunity to direct and photograph professional nude models.

Program

We begin the morning bright and early with coffee and a brief introduction. We will start off with a brief discussion of the equipment needed for three lighting setups, and what they cost. We also discuss your equipment and how we will be integrating your specific camera into our lighting setup (filters, film, or digital settings).

We will then go straight into a practical excersise and discussion with our nude model of what constitutes beautiful lighting. Giving a guidline of lighting angles that are traditionally flattering for the femail body using each of the three lighting tools.

At midday we break for lunch. After lunch we begin photographing the model. Photographers will work one-on-one with the model. You will each be able to personally direct and photograph the model for first hand experience with using our lights. A great way to get comfortable working with a nude subject, and will give you some beautiful photos if you need to begin your own portfolio.

After each photographer is finished shooting we will then show the images (if shot on digital) on our big screen for discussion.
